JANUARY 2016 HAPPENINGS
2015 was an exciting year for me personally and my company McFarland & Pecci. I worked on some great projects as well as traveled all over Europe and the US shooting my new feature documentary The Godfathers of Hardcore (#TGFHC), which is an intimate portrait of two of the most respected people in underground music, Roger Miret and Vinnie Stigma of the iconic NYC Hardcore band Agnostic Front.
Around 75% of the film is shot, and we are currently in post-production working on a preliminary cut. My assistant editor / associate producer Tony Fernandez and I have been having a great time working on the edit when we’re not overrun with commercial projects. My DP Anthony Jarvis and I have shot some footage we are very proud of and are very excited to share it with the world. We have a few more shoots scheduled for March and April where we are planning on going to Arizona, Florida and Cuba.
Our goal is to have the film at picture lock by mid summer 2016 and then released by the end of the year.

I also had the pleasure of producing a horror film my business partner Mike Pecci wrote and directed. 12 Kilometers is a 30 minute proof of concept film for a larger feature that we are looking to do in the very near future. Both #TGHC and #12 KM will be the first two releases through a new wing of McFarland and Pecci, McFarland and Pecci Films which we successfully created in mid 2015.
Over the Christmas break I spent some time upgrading our edit bays as well as doing some much needed renovations to the studio making my space more client and commercial project friendly.
